- AUGUST 2004 -
Updates galore!
8/29/04 - My apologies for cramming all this into one big update. College = suck. Anyway, first up is the opening of The Kapt'n's Korner, an official blog of sorts for Sascha Konietzko. There are already two entries, so check it out! A similar journal for the Pigs (Jules, Andy & Steve) will be coming shortly. Next up, Blistering.com is giving away five copies of the WWIII Tour DVD. The deadline is September 1st, so you still have a few days to enter. Also, speaking of tours, the U.S. itinerary for the upcoming 20th Anniversary Tour has been finalized. Finally, a very few of the Russian Bear shirts are still unsold. If you want one, hurry!
UHB Forums.
8/21/04 - Ever since the UHB opened, I've had a lot of requests to add forums to it. KMFDM hasn't had the best luck with fan communities, so I was reluctant at first. So many people have asked about it, though, that I figured it'd be worth a shot. So, without further ado, I give you the UHB Forums.
New interview.
8/20/04 - You can read a new interview with Sascha here. In it, Sascha gives a really good rundown of KMFDM's plans for the next several months. Thanks to Nick Foley for the heads up.
Tour photos & posters.
8/19/04 - The tour photos section of KMFDM.net is now active. Also, if you want to grab one of those bitchin' Russian Bear posters, you better do so soon. Less than 50 remain!
Opening act for the fall tour.
8/19/04 - According to the tour info page, DJ? Acucrack will be opening for KMFDM on their fall tour. Some new dates have also been added.
Fall tour dates!
8/11/04 - KMFDM.net has posted a bunch of tour dates for the upcoming U.S./Canada Fall tour. They've also let slip a few details regarding what you might hear on the tour.
KMFDM officially off Sanctuary Records.
8/10/04 - Straight from Sascha himself, I have word that KMFDM has officially severed all ties with Sanctuary Records.
Tidbits.
8/9/04 - Here are some bits of news that have accumulated over the past couple of weeks. First off, I've seen several dates for a KMFDM fall tour pop up in the last few days. They look legit, but I'm going to hold off on posting them until I hear something official about it. Next up, Lucia is featured in the current edition of The Onion's "Justify Your Existence". Thanks to Corey, Zach & marmalade for the heads up. So, you're still undecided about buying the WWIII DVD? Click here for a review that should tell you everything you need to make your choice. Finally, here's a new interview in which Sascha says that KMFDM is longer on Sanctuary Records.
