- JULY 2003 -
Lucia's album available online plus my review.
7/22/03 - For those of you who can't wait any longer to hear Lucia's solo album, you can purchase and download a copy here. Don't worry, it's a totally legit and licensed site. Thanks to Revolutionist for the heads up. Also, if you would like, you can read my review of the album here.
UPDATE: I've removed the above link to Lucia's album. I've learned from a couple sources that the site selling it may not have a license to do so.
Official KMFDM LiveJournal.
7/21/03 - No, really: http://www.livejournal.com/community/kmfdmdotkom
KMFDM Q&A.
7/21/03 - Sascha has posted a new Q&A to the news section of KMFDM.net. He touches on a number of topics, including touring Europe, the reason for their departure from Metropolis and the process of recording WWIII. It's a great read, but if you're in a hurry, I've collected the most pertinent news tidbits below:
* Copies of Lucia's solo album will be available on the upcoming tour.
* One new song title revealed: "Blackball"
* Marc Heal definitely won't be involved with WWIII.
* New shirts are going into production soon, including a long-sleeve version of the WWIII shirt.
* Both the new X-F album and the new Pig album probably won't be done anytime soon.
* The distribution of lead vocals on WWIII goes like this: Sascha on five songs, Raymond on four and Lucia on two.
* WWIII cover art and preview tracks should be coming soon.
* Sascha says that WWIII is "the best KMFDM album to date."
En Esch's TR-909 on eBay.
7/20/03 - Help support En Esch by bidding on his TR-909 drum machine here. Thanks to Mike Guerin for the heads up.
Official Lucia website down.
7/18/03 - Looks like Lucia's official website is down for the moment. Hopefully this means that Lucia is redesigning it and not that Universal has shut it down.
KMFDM interview on local TV.
7/15/03 - Those of you who live in Chicago have lucked out. According to a UseNet post by Sascha, an interview with KMFDM will be shown on Channel 25 tomorrow, July 16, at 9 PM. It will be rebroadcast the 19th at 1 PM and the 23rd at 9 PM.
Bill Rieflin definitely on WWIII + tour tidbit.
7/10/03 - In a post to alt.music.kmfdm, Sascha confirmed that Bill Rieflin will definitely be involved with WWIII, though only in a guest capacity. Also, he mentioned that KMFDM plans to tour the U.S. starting in October.
Apologies for the downtime.
7/06/03 - Yes, I'm still alive. I apologize for the site being down over the past few days; I've been switching webhosting companies. Whoever said computers make things easier was fucking batshit looney. Anyway, absolutely nothing's happened since the last update, so you haven't really missed anything.
New ohGr album out today.
7/01/03 - This is only tangentially related to KMFDM, but hey, like I said a couple of days ago, it's a slow time for news. Anyway, ohGr's second album, Sunnypsyop, comes out today. It features Ogre, former Skinny Puppy vocalist and occasional KMFDM collaborator.
